Dear Sun Meadow Resident:

The SMHOA Board of Directors would like to thank you for your participation in the Special Meeting that took place June 9, 2016. This meeting was held in regard to the petition signed by 1/5 of the “members in good standing” to continue discussion and act on motions dismissed by the Board at the Annual meeting.

A motion to take a vote for/against installation of speed humps on the proposed Traffic Calming Plan made by Steve McFarlin, second by Trish Barlett. The voting measure numbers were as follows:

69 Yes – remove existing stop signs and install speed humps
53 No – keep existing stop signs and do not install speed humps

With this result the Board’s endorsement of the Traffic Calming Petition stands. We hope that in the coming weeks as the work crew completes the punch list (created by the city inspection project manager) please remain aware of work crews on our roadways. After all corrections of the work list is complete, work on the Speed Tables will begin.

Also Please Note: If you were part of the original petition for Traffic Calming done in Fall 2015, you will still need to cast a vote whether by proxy or in person at the Special Meeting of the HOA tomorrow, June 9. If you have not sent in a proxy, please drop your proxy vote form in a sealed envelope to 9805 S Granite Ave. by 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 9. Otherwise you will have to come in person to the special meeting at River Oaks which begins at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 9.

Regarding our upcoming Special Meeting of the HOA, the attached documents are for your reference. Also, please note the Special Meeting regarding Traffic Calming, called for by petitioning the SMHOA Board, is for those in our community that are members in good standing only – meaning current in payment of your annual dues of $75.00.

We have enclosed a map of the neighborhood showing members in good standing as of May 19, 2016. If you have sent in your dues payment with your proxy document or it was received after May 19, 2016, your name will not be reflected on the map.

Please familiarize yourself with Roberts Rules as we will conduct this meeting according to these guidelines.
